Note from Heather: Hey! Welcome to my annual planning agenda. You can make a duplicate of this page in the top right corner, or just copy & paste the text.
This session needs around 2-3 hours to give you lots of space to discuss & decide, and should be done at the beginning of every calendar or financial year.

Team reflection discussion (45 mins):
In this section, we want to create a sense of ownership from our team. We want to make sure they are heard, and their expertise is put into action for our team’s 2025 plans.
Get them to spend 10 minutes writing down the answers to the below questions:
- What 3 things did we do well in 2024 that we should do more of?
- What 3 things did we not do well that we should do less of?
- What are we most excited about for 2025?
Spend the next 30ish mins going through each question one by one, and hear out each person’s answers, write them all up on a whiteboard, and you should start to see patterns
Finally, commit to some collective actions as to what you want to focus on/do more of, and what you would like to change for 2025.
Current Projects - Review
This section is to run through all ongoing projects, for each one, ask questions like:
- What are we doing really well with this project?
- Where do we think we can make improvements?
Take down actions
Upcoming Projects - Make Action Plan
Same as above, run through any projects that haven’t yet kicked off
- What should be our starting point for this project?
- Where can we see any potential points of failure? How are we going to de-risk them?
